Digital Expert

PlantIQ Agent is a digital expert that provides suggestions and recommendations for solving problems that operators and support engineers face in manufacturing. This tool utilizes generative AI and Large Language Model (LLMs) that are designed specifically for manufacturing processes. By connecting the assistant to the relevant documentation and real time process data, the time from issue occurrence to resolution is greatly minimized. New operators and maintenance technicians are now supplied with the wealth of knowledge that a seasoned process engineer holds. This allows new employees to come up to speed quickly and begin operating the system independently earlier than traditional training methods.

Alarm Module

Insight into Technical Issues

The Alarm module couples the benefits of the generative AI and the plant floor with specific focus on the alarms and alerts from the PLC and SCADA system. This focused view provides better responses to system faults with detailed process information, analysis of historical faults, and documented control system service tickets allowing for quicker resolution. Throughout the troubleshooting process, if more help is required to solve the problem, the operator can raise the issue to a service ticket without leaving the module. The service ticket is delivered to the NorthWind Support Team along with all issue data allowing them to step in right where the operator needs them. The tool is constantly learning and each correct resolution is identified to ensure future answers are better.

Tickets Module

Review, track, resolve automation support tickets

The Service Issue Explorer houses all service tickets between the plant and NorthWind’s support team. The operator and maintenance personnel can monitor all the current and past tickets. Ticket details, summary, and resolution is available for searching and reviewing. Not only can you review these, but the documents are feeding the AI tool information, so the next time you encounter a similar issue, the smart assistant will reference the ticket for quicker, smarter solutions.

Knowledge Base

Solutions specific to the systems and processes being used

PlantIQ™ reviews and analysis data to provide relevant answers and insights to the user. This information is pulled from the knowledge base which consists of a compilation of SOP documents, manuals, training information, transcribed audio files, process data, service tickets, and more. As the system is used, the knowledge base is growing with process data, service tickets, and user interactions that all work as a feedback loop to continue to provide valuable answers.
